Building a Brand for the Next Chapter
As organizations grow, their brands sometimes need to grow with them.
When Roots & Rivers Collaborative approached us, the organization was preparing for an exciting new chapter. Formerly known as the Wild Rivers Invasive Species Coalition, leadership had already established the new name and was looking for a visual identity that would support its evolving mission and future goals.
The objective was clear: create a brand with impact as the organization launched into its next season.
Listening Before Designing
Before beginning the design process, we conducted an anonymous stakeholder survey to better understand how members, partners, and supporters viewed the organization and its future.
The response was incredible.
Participation exceeded expectations, and the feedback provided valuable insight into the organization's strengths, opportunities, and aspirations. The level of engagement demonstrated just how invested stakeholders were in the future of Roots & Rivers Collaborative.
Those insights became an important part of the creative process, helping ensure the new identity reflected both the organization's mission and the people who support it.
Creating a Distinct Visual Identity
Using stakeholder feedback as a guide, we developed a logo and visual identity designed to feel approachable, modern, and adaptable.
The new brand was created to work across digital platforms, print materials, outreach efforts, and promotional applications while maintaining a consistent and recognizable presence.
A strong logo isn't just memorable. It needs to work wherever the organization shows up.

Building the Brand System
Once the identity was established, we expanded it into a complete brand system, including:
Brand standards and usage guidelines
Business cards
Letterhead
Envelopes
Supporting marketing materials
Every piece was designed to work together, creating a cohesive experience across every touchpoint.

The Result
The Roots & Rivers Collaborative rebrand transformed a new organizational identity into a complete brand system ready to support future growth.
From stakeholder engagement and logo development to business materials and brand standards, the project provided the tools needed to communicate consistently and confidently as the organization moves forward.
Sometimes a new season requires more than a new look. It requires a brand built to support what's next.
