An Evening of Conversation, Collaboration & Community

We recently had the opportunity to host members of the M&M Chamber Young Professionals WAVE group for an evening of conversation and connection, and the turnout and engagement exceeded expectations.

With over 20 members in attendance, the energy in the room was thoughtful, curious, and collaborative from the start. Events like this remind us how strong and invested our young professional community truly is.

Real Questions. Honest Answers.

One of the most valuable parts of the evening was the open discussion.

Josh Jones of Stephenson Area Schools asked how we approach working with a one-off project versus a long-term client. Our answer was simple: we treat every client with the same level of dedication. Whether it’s a single project or an ongoing partnership, we never know where a working relationship may grow. Every opportunity deserves the same care and strategic attention.

Kelly McCarthy with JCI brought forward thoughtful questions about the branding process, specifically how to know when you’re ready for a rebrand, or if one is necessary at all.

We shared that rebranding isn’t something we recommend lightly. Before jumping into design, we complete surveys and analysis to determine whether a rebrand is truly needed. Sometimes the answer is refinement, not reinvention. If the research indicates a larger shift is necessary, we then move into deeper stakeholder analysis and structured brand development steps.

Branding decisions should be informed, not reactive.

The level of engagement and insight from attendees made the evening especially meaningful.

Strong Community Partners

A special thank you to Kayla Clairmont of Tri-County United Way for her introduction and coordination support. Her role in promoting and helping organize the event ensured a strong turnout and seamless experience.

We were also grateful to partner with April Allen, who hosted the event at her Distillery, Spirit House. April shared candid insights into her journey of entrepreneurship, including the realities of launching a business, navigating roadblocks, and recognizing opportunities along the way. Her transparency and experience added another layer of value to the evening.

Entrepreneurship isn’t a straight line. Hearing that firsthand resonated with many in the room.

Why Events Like This Matter

WAVE creates space for young professionals to ask meaningful questions, challenge ideas, and build relationships across industries. Hosting conversations like this reinforces why community engagement matters to us.

These aren’t just networking events. They’re opportunities to share experiences, learn from one another, and support the growth of the region as a whole.

We’re grateful for everyone who attended and contributed to such an engaging evening.
